Holy smokes!

There ARE discounts to be found tho:

Buy accommodations, bundle it with ski lift tickets

Go to 7/11 – that’s my deal go to!

Purchase lift tickets online up to midnight the night before you ski, and save time & money. Or add days to your existing EpicDay card and head straight to the lift! Your ticket gives you the following benefits: access to both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains including the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, Terrain Parks and Halfpipe, along with complimentary Mountain Orientation Tours.

Edge Cards – multi day lift ticket passes – you must be a BC or Washington state resident

Edge Cards come pre-loaded with either 1, 3, 5 or 10 days of discounted skiing/riding. As logic would suggest, the more days that you buy up front, the cheaper it is per day. And once your pre-loaded day(s) are used up, you continue to benefit as the price of each subsequent day on the mountains is also discounted.

Note that the 10-Day edge passes are only available before the ski season begins.

Is It A Good Deal?
In a word… YES. And it is an especially good deal if you purchase your card before the winter season starts. By doing so you will enjoy an extra 10% to 15% savings over the regular season prices.

In fact, if you want the best deal possible you should make sure that you purchase a Whistler Edge Card for next season before this winter season ends. Not only will you guarantee yourself the best pricing, if you purchase a 5 or 10 day card you will get a free bonus day of skiing or snowboarding before Christmas of the following season.

$85 tickets are sold by the Students’ Union at Capilano University in North Vancouver. I called them the other day to clarify some of the details and here they are:

As I mentioned earlier, the cost of the tickets are $85 including tax. That’s $11.26 cheaper than comparable 7-11 Whistler tickets which sell for $96.26 including tax. They do not sell any Senior/Youth or Children’s tickets. If you want these type of tickets I recommend trying our Ticket Wizard or going to a 7-11 store.

These cheap lift tickets for Whistler are available to anyone. In other words you do not have to be a student of the university. I was also told that there were no restrictions on the number of tickets that you can purchase at one time either.

Important Tip: It is a good idea to call the Students’ Union ahead of time (see phone # below) to make sure that they have the number of tickets that you require on hand when you arrive. There is a finite number of tickets available for each season so if you are trying to purchase them later in the season you may be out of luck. Again… call ahead of time to check availability.
